A Call To Freedom

image◽️Today is set aside to honor Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday. In Wikipedia’s words: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American pastor, activist, humanitarian, and leader in the African – American Civil Rights Movement. He is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience based on his christian beliefs. King helped organize the 1963 March on Washington where he delivered his “I have a Dream” speech. “Free at last, free at last. Thank God Almighty, we are free at last.”
◽️In his letter to the Romans, Paul says this about freedom…”Offer yourselves to the ways of God and the freedom never quits.” “We’re free to live a new life in the freedom of God.” Romans 6:17, 7:6 MSG.
◽️God’s gift (to us) is real life, eternal life, (thank you God a free life!) delivered by Jesus, our Master. Romans 6:23 MSG
◽️This “freedom~gift” was given by our Papa God when he sent His one and only son Jesus, to be born for us, walk on this earth for us, and die on the cross for us.
◽️Freedom was paid with a price, and Jesus was the sacrifice. His Father sent him from above to show the world his perfect love. A love that reaches from the heights of the Heavens to the depths of the sea. A love beyond all measure for you and for me…..Let Freedom Ring!!!
