▫️All of us at one time or another may find ourselves at a crossroad, and I am talking literally, right in the middle of one not really knowing which way to go!
▫️One of my favorite movies is “Castaway” starring Tom Hanks and Helen Hunt. I love this movie for many reasons. Not to mention Tom Hanks is one of the best actors ever! (Well…he is in my book anyway). There’s this one particular scene at the end of the movie that makes me choke up every time! It ranks ‘tear~jerker’ status with another scene in this movie, which is “Wilson” floating away!
▫️In the movie, Chuck Noland (Tom Hanks) is a time obsessed FedEx systems analyst, who travels the world resolving productivity problems for FedEx. When he crashes on the island and FedEx packages start to wash up with him, he decides to leave one of them unopened. Fast forward to four years, and yes he survived! (Sorry to those who have not seen the movie, but what’s wrong with you people!). He finds himself at a crossroad with the unopened package in tow trying to make the delivery.
▫️This particular scene in the movie may make us think of a crossroad that we have met in our lives, and I’m talking figuratively here. We all may have reached a place in our lives, at one time or another that we really don’t know what to do. Maybe it’s a major decision that we need to make in our lives. Maybe it’s a not so major decision we need to make, and we just don’t have the answer or know where or who to turn to. It’s good to get advice, especially Godly advice from others, but sometimes too many voices can drown out the one true voice, the voice of your Papa God who always, always, always, knows what’s best for you! No matter what your crossroad represents, listen to God’s voice.
▫️Thank God! And I do mean literally thank Him, because He’s the one who can help you out at that crossroad! “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21 NIV
