What Does The Kid Say?

◽️I’m sure by now you’ve heard that song, “What Does The Fox Say?”, and let me just ask for the record….am I the only person who does not get this song? But then again maybe we’re not supposed to understand it. Come to think of it, there are a lot of songs that I don’t get! I have to admit though when you pull it up on YouTube to watch and listen, you can’t just walk away. It’s a ‘catchy’ tune that has swept the nation! (Boy do I sound old or what!) Let me just pause a second and laugh at myself! Ha!
▫️I remember years ago, Art Linkletter’s famous quote, “Kids say the darndest things.” For those who don’t know him, and according to Wikipedia this is who he was: Arthur Gordon “Art” Linkletter (July 17, 1912 – May 26, 2010) was a Canadian-born American radio and television personality. He was the host of House Party, which ran on CBS radio and television for 25 years, and People Are Funny, on NBC radio and TV for 19 years. Linkletter was famous for interviewing children on House Party and Kids Say the darndest Things, which led to a series of books quoting children.
▫️I work with kids (the five-year old variety kind) every day so I can tell you first hand, they do say the darndest things! Kids are also honest and real! And if you really want their opinion just ask, and they’ll give it!
▫️We can learn a thing or two from children, believe it or not! One of my favorite verses in the bible is,” This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave tending life. It’s adventurous expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” Romans 8:15 MSG
▫️I believe that’s exactly how our Papa God wants us to be each and every day! Throw open the door and ask Him today, expecting to live adventurously, just the way He desires for you to! “What’s next Papa!”

Hey there....so glad you dropped by! My name is Elizabeth Maxwell, but everyone knows me as "Beth." I am the wife to Kevin Maxwell of 38 years. We have 3 grown sons, one daughter-in-law, and our adopted daughter Maria. God laid on our hearts to experience an awesome journey in 2000, in adopting our special needs daughter, Maria Dean. God has truly been with us every step of the way on our journey. I live in the beautiful foothills state of Tennessee. I love my beautiful Tennessee home. From the foothills to the whippoorwills, God's beauty shines forth here. I love to laugh often. I enjoy old movies, reading books, and I love to sing in my award (Dove) winning choir at First Baptist Church! I love my sweet little job, working with Kindergartners...and yes "kids do say the darndest things!" I am encouraged by God's word and I love to dig into it. I am by no means a scholarly expert, but I do delight in His encouragement for me. I am a friend of God...after all, God's got my back! And not just my back - "He goes before me." (Deuteronomy 31:8) "He's right beside me." (Hebrews 13:5) and, "He surrounds me on every side." (Psalm 125:2) These verses remind me that I am not alone while traveling on this "Journey Called Life!" Won't you travel with me? My prayer is that you will be encouraged, and know that you are not alone on this journey called life!
